Wouldn't it make more sense for this trait to be 150 IQ or something astronomically small to reflect how rare billionaires are..

Why would it make sense what does it even mean?

Also why the comparison with height and basketball with this ?

Height doesn't even have diminishing returns in basketball even at extremes it just give you an advantage over all the others who are smaller.
