I’m not really sure if they really are needed for health, but if you eat natural foods even ones low in pufa, you will get enough. Only an artificial diet could be deficient in them

What do u think is going on here?

All the foods listed are fine except for the cold fish and fiber. Their collective and progressive culture may also play a role; a similar factor in East Asia where lifespans are also above average. Life expectancy statistics provide an insight into a countries health care system more so than diets.

What are the “uncommon situations”?

Thoughts on this?
I've read that write-up before. I'll address the assertion that PUFAs aren't needed according to Peat.

If they are, they're present in all food making it almost impossible to develop a deficiency outside of laboratory conditions - if we put aside the potential that the animals tested developed a true EFA deficiency rather than a B-vitamin deficiency as is currently theorized.

What would your opinion on omega 3:eek:mega 6 ratio be? Essentially all irrelevant?

I think I've read that omega 3 competes with 6 negating some of it's harmful effects but omega 3 is still harmful in it's own right, just less than 6.
