A minor has been killed in a shooting that occurred Wednesday morning in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.
The shooting was reported in the 7100 block of Northwest 14th Place.
According to Miami-Dade police, a male juvenile was shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
City of Miami police and Miami-Dade police could be seen taping off the area, where it is still a very active crime scene.
A woman who lives in the area told Local 10 News that she heard at least four gunshots.
A possible family member of the victim’s later arrived to the area in a black van. She was heard screaming in the street before she spoke with officers at the scene, who attempted to calm her down.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
No details have been released about a possible suspect.
