Police are searching for a 9-year-old who went missing in southwest Houston on Thursday.

Details surrounding his disappearance have not been released, but police said Elmer Esequiel was last seen leaving the 8100 block of Sangamon Lane in an unknown direction.

Elmer is described to be wearing no shoes, shorts and a T-shirt.

Anyone with information about the child’s whereabouts is asked to call the Houston Police Patrol at 713-884-3131 or Houston Police Missing Persons Division at 832-394-1840.
