Authorities in Chambers County are searching for a 72-year-old woman who was reported missing on Aug. 13.
Bettye Robinson, 72, was last seen leaving her son’s home at approximately 9 p.m. in the 1000 block of Main Street in Anahuac.
According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, family members told deputies that Robinson has early onset dementia and believes she may have left for New York.
Robinson was last seen wearing a black and white top with black and white pants. She has black hair and brown eyes.
A search is underway in the Anahuac area, including the Anahuac Elementary School area. Deputies said a large presence of search-and-rescue personnel and a helicopter will assist in the search.
