I think the cause is low CO2 from temporary hypothyroidism after I stopped thyroid, today marks my 4th week off so most exogenous T4 should be excreted by now.

Or, my sleeping positions might not be optimal.
What position do you sleep in

Going to start sleeping with a paper bag next to my bad so I can intermittently bag breathe and consequently raise my CO2 levels.

Tape your mouth with micropore tape
Sleep on your side and additionally put a sleeping bag/backpack or whatever behind your back so you won't end up sleeping on it.
Try breathing exercises before going to bed that increase CO2 levels such as the Frolov breathing device
