A rescue team responded to a water rescue after a vehicle drove off a bridge and crashed into the deep waters of Buffalo Bayou in east Houston on Monday, according to the Houston Police Department.
Around 1 p.m., it was reported that a person was unable to get out of the water following a vehicle being submerged in the bayou.
Police said one civilian was able to free themselves after being trapped in the vehicle. Houston firefighters are performing rescue efforts for the second person still in the vehicle.
