A Thursday afternoon crash sent 6 people to two local hospitals, according to Coconut Creek police.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. at Coconut Creek Parkway and NW 45th Avenue.

This all happened right past a high school in front of a fire station and neighbors say it was a scary sight.
All 6 people who were injured were in the same car. According to Coconut Creek police, the driver was a 31-year-old man and 5 passengers were in the car when it crashed. Other passengers in the car were a 35-year-old woman, and 4 teenage girls, ages, 17, 16, 15, and 14.
Traffic was shut down for hours on Creek Parkway between NW 43rd Avenue and Lyons Road for hours while they investigated the accident.
Police say the investigation as to why the driver was speeding and what led to the crash is ongoing.
