Meade Skelton is a real person who is mildly retarded and has some form of autism. With the assistance of his family and friends, Meade records himself playing a keyboard and singing--or attempting to sing. Charitable business owners have allowed Meade to provide live entertainment on their premises, and someone has produced a vanity CD of his work. Meade's periodic rambling posts on Youtube can actually be quite entertaining, though not necessarily in the same way he intends.
Perhaps unfortunately Meade has learned how to operate a computer and came here to this site in a clumsy attempt to "anonymously" promote his "music". This immediately earned him ridicule and enmity. However it was eventually established that Meade is a genuine retard in the literal sense, and the original vitriol subsided. Meade is now regarded as a harmless, if somewhat obnoxious, mascot of sorts.
Ironically, Fairfax Underground is responsible for a large percentage of Meade's fan following. People love to watch his moob-flexing stunts, discuss his latest antics, and comment on his physique, faux accent, and other physical characteristics. Some people even attend Meade's live events as a result of the publicity he gets here. Notable Fairfax Underground characters eesh and Karen Leiser, the sex-crazed attorney representing Miz, are both fans of Meade Skelton.
