A man was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound at a parking lot outside a north Harris County apartment complex Wednesday morning, deputies with Harris County Sheriff’s Office said. Investigators said he’s been identified but his name has not been released.
It happened at Cambria Cove Apartments in the 16300 block of Ella Boulevard near Cypress Creek Parkway.
At around 8:30 a.m., deputies said witnesses flagged down an on-duty Spring ISD police officer after they found the man, believed to be between 25 and 30 years old, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the face.
Deputies do not have information on a possible suspect.
Investigators are canvassing the area for possible witnesses and surveillance video.
Additionally, a woman, who did not want to give her name out, was visiting her grandmother at the complex and said her friend may have witnessed part of the crime.
“My friend was here. She was here. The car pulled up. There was nobody. He scurried off, and now it’s a body. There wasn’t a body before the car pulled up. I wish it never happened. My condolences to the family but don’t do your dirt and bring it to other people’s community,” the woman said. “We are very quiet over here.”
