A 29-year-old man was arrested this week on accusations that he tried to pimp out a woman at a hotel in Doral.
Reinier Rivalta, of Miami Gardens, was taken into custody Tuesday on charges of deriving support from proceeds of prostitution, unlawful use of a communications device and directing another to a place of prostitution.
According to his arrest report, an undercover officer responded to an online advertisement and arranged to meet a woman for sex at the Aloft Hotel, located at 3265 NW 107th Ave. in Doral.
Police said the undercover officer met Rivalta and the woman at the hotel just before 5:30 p.m. Monday.
The woman, who is listed as a witness in the police report, entered one of the hotel rooms and the undercover officer asked her what he would receive for $250, the report stated.
According to the report, the woman told him the money would cover everything but anal sex.
Police said the undercover officer gave the woman the money before temporarily detaining her as Rivalta was taken into custody.
According to the report, the woman was questioned by detectives and told them that Rivalta would set her up on “dates” and took her to all the agreed upon locations where she would engage in sexual activity for money.
Police said the woman claimed Rivalta kept all proceeds from the prostitution.
Jail records show he is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in lieu of a $13,000 bond. He must prove that the money used for his bond was obtained legitimately before he is released.
