Five subjects were detained on Friday morning after Kendall Crime Suppression Team received a Crime Stoppers tip that suspicious activity was occurring at the rear parking lot of 9360 SW 72 Street.
After Kendall CST established surveillance, at approximately 9 a.m., Kendall CST detectives observed several subjects retrieving duffle bags from another vehicle in the parking lot.
Five subjects were detained regarding a narcotics investigation.
In the parking lot at 9360 SW Sunset Drive, Detective Rizo was the lookout at the rear of the parking lot, and at approximately 8:50 a.m. several vehicles entered the parking lot.
All of these vehicles parked in the southernmost part of the parking lot in reverse and next to each other as the individuals then lowered the windows and began conversing with each other, police say.
According to police, Justin Abreu opens the trunk of his BMW, and Andres Roldan exits his vehicle and proceeds to the trunk. Roldan retrieves a duffle bag from the trunk and a black cooler from the back seat of Abreu’s BMW and places them in his Infiniti.
CST detectives then approached these individuals and immediately detected a strong smell of marijuana odor emitting from the vehicles, all individuals were ordered out of the vehicles and detained reference a narcotics investigation.
On scene, seven duffle bags and seven coolers were retrieved with cannabis and other narcotics.
