| BOSTON ââ¬â Two people suffered critical injuries in a shooting in Boston's Chinatown neighborhood early Sunday morning, police said. The two men were shot on the street in the area of Beach and Oxford Streets around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Both victims were rushed to Boston hospitals with what Boston police superintendent-in-chief Gregory Long called "critical, life-threatening injuries." Evidence markers could be seen throughout the street and sidewalk, with roads throughout Chinatown shut down as homicide detectives investigated the shooting. Police said a vehicle that had three suspects who fled the scene was spotted and followed in Boston's Charlestown neighborhood. Video from the scene shows the vehicle crashed in the rotary by The Schrafft Center, with the contents inside the vehicle strewn on the ground. A gun was recovered from the vehicle, police said. Police said three people were taken into custody and then taken to area hospitals. The people inside the vehicle were expected to survive. What led up to the shooting is not yet clear.
