- The death toll from an overnight severe weather outbreak across the United States rises to three, all from a tornado near Enderlin, North Dakota. Significant damage is also reported from Bemidji, Minnesota, which experienced a wind gust of {{cvt|106|mph|km/h}}. (AP)
- Four Airmedic crew members are reported missing after a MBB/Kawasaki BK 117 medical helicopter on a rescue operation crashed yesterday into a wooded area north of Baie-Johan-Beetz near Natashquan on the Côte-Nord in Quebec, Canada. The pilot, the only person that was found so far, was taken to hospital and treated for injuries. (CBC)
