- Eleven people are killed and 50 others are injured in a stampede at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. (Anadolu Agency)
- The cargo ship Morning Midas, carrying 3,000+ electric vehicles, catches fire and is evacuated near Tanaga Island, in Alaska's Aleutian Islands. The ships 22 crew members were safely evacuated after failing to extinguish the fire. The U.S. Coast Guard is assisting. (USA Today)

- Vietnamese two-child policy
- Vietnam formally ends the two-child policy which has been in effect since 2009 amid record low total fertility rates of 1.91 per woman in 2024, causing declining birth rate and a shrinking workforce.
