- At least 27 Puntland soldiers and more than 70 ISIS militants were killed or wounded in fierce fighting around the Togga Jacel area of the Cal Miskaad mountains in Puntland’s Bari Region. The clashes erupted after Puntland defence forces thwarted an overnight attack by the Islamic State militant group, which targeted military bases with suicide car and motorbike bombs.
