- Deforestation of the Amazon rainforest
- The Brazilian environment and climate change ministry reports that deforestation in the Amazon rainforest decreased by 30.6% compared to last year, its lowest level in nine years. Deforestation in the Cerrado tropical savannah region decreased by 25.7%, the first decline in five years. (AP) (Semafor)

- Ukraine–United States relations
- The United States lifts its ban on deploying military contractors to Ukraine, enabling American companies to directly assist with the maintenance and repair of U.S.-made weapons, particularly F-16 fighter aircrafts and Patriot air defense systems. The U.S. says that its contractors will be positioned far from the front lines and will not engage in combat with Russian forces. (CNN)
