- According to De Volkskrant, in an American and Israeli led operation, Erik van Sabben, Dutch engineer recruited by the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD), released the malicious computer worm Stuxnet in an Iranian nuclear complex in 2007 and so paralyzed the Iranian nuclear program for years. It was so secret that the AIVD and Dutch Prime Minister were not informed. (NOS), (The Times)
