Energy drinks are terrible for you.
Red Bull, in particular, is pretty pro-metabolic due to it's B-Vitamin content, caffeine, CO2, and cane/beet sugar.

The only drawback is their citric acid content, IIRC.

It has an extremely high glycemic index
glycemic index really doesn't mean anything but even if it did, a high glycemic index would be desirable.

but I'm sure it does have the usual issues starch delivers like feeding bacteria.

glycemic index matters for insulin reasons
