A child has died after a major crash involving a cement truck on the Beltway 8 Frontage road in east Harris County Friday afternoon, deputies with Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.
The main lanes of the frontage road headed southbound at Beltway 8 near Woodforest Boulevard are shut down.
It appears from video from Houston TranStar, the large truck apparently veered off the bridge and landed on its side on top of another vehicle.
It is unknown if there are any additional injuries at this point.
The child’s age and gender are unknown at this time.
