While uilleann pipes (listen to an example of them being played <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GW-blU0wEs" target="_blank">here</a>) are a type of bagpipe associated with traditional Irish music, the ones heard on Fallon did not sound to be of that variety.
