Houston police have shut down U.S. 290 westbound at Fairbanks North Houston Road due to a vehicle on fire after a police chase.
Officers were involved in a short pursuit on U.S. 290 and stopped near Fairbanks North Houston Road, police said.
The vehicle burst into flames on the left shoulder of the highway, as seen on Houston Transtar.
All westbound mainlanes are shut down as authorities work to clear the scene.
