Actress Olivia Newton-John, best known for her role as “Sandy” from the popular classic “Grease” has died. She was 73.
Her husband, John Easterling, confirmed the news on her Facebook page Monday afternoon.
According to the post, Newton-John died peacefully Monday morning surrounded by family and friends. Her husband wrote that his wife had been “a symbol of triumphs and hope” who shared her journey with breast cancer.
Newton-John was survived by her husband, daughter Chloe Lattanzi, sister Sarah Newton-John, and numerous members of her family.
