Four people were stabbed during a family disturbance in north Harris County Sunday, deputies with Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.
Units responded to reports of a family disturbance in the 800 block of Regional Park Drive around 10:49 p.m.
Deputies said when they arrived at the scene, they found four adults with stab wounds. All of them were transported to the hospital, HCSO said.
According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, a man, who has been identified by deputies as Manuel Alfredo Gutierrez, 25, returned home intoxicated and armed with a pistol. Gutierrez got into a verbal argument with his sister and their mom and dad intervened while trying to break up the fight, Gonzalez said.
Gonzalez said things escalated into a physical altercation and family members that had knives began stabbing each other. Each family member is expected to survive.
Gutierrez has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault. Gonzalez said Gutierrez was out on bond and has a previous felony.
