The Houston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects responsible for robbing a man at gunpoint back in April.
On Monday, April 4, Houston police responded to reports of an aggravated robbery in a parking lot located in the 6100 block of North Freeway.
Investigators said the victim was selling his Nissan Altima on Facebook Marketplace and was contacted by a potential buyer who asked to meet in a hotel parking lot.
The victim said the alleged buyer showed up at the hotel around 3:20 p.m. with another man in a gray Hyundai Accent. The two suspects then exited their vehicle and walked toward the victim’s vehicle. The victims said one of the suspects then got into the back seat of his vehicle and pointed a gun at him.
The victim said he tried to drive off, but one of the suspects told him to stop while pressing the gun on his neck. The victim stopped the vehicle, and the suspects took his wallet and cell phone and fled the scene.
Investigators said the account used on the potential buyer’s Facebook page was fake and did not provide accurate information that could lead to the identity of the suspects.
Suspect descriptions:
Suspect #1: Black male, 25 to 35 years old, 5′9 to 6′1, 190 to 200 pounds, wearing blue jeans and black hoodie.
Suspect #2: Black male, 25 to 35 years old, wearing black jeans and a black hoodie.
