Authorities are responding to a crash where they say an innocent man was killed and six others were injured following a chase in northwest Harris County.
According to officials in the Cy-Fair area, deputies were called to the location in response to a family disturbance. As the deputies were responding, the suspect(s) reportedly sped off.
After failing to pull over, deputies say they were led on a short pursuit before the suspect crashed into at least three other vehicles in the 4900 Block of Greenhouse Road.
It is not clear if the innocent bystander was a pedestrian or if they were another driver inside one of the cars hit by the suspect.
Officials with the Cy-Fair Fire Department said four people were transported to the hospital by ambulance and two others had to be flown by LifeFlight for medical attention.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
Officials are asking drivers to avoid that area.
