President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 coordinator, Dr. Ashish Jha, and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki answered reporters’ questions on Tuesday in the White House.
Jha praised the Biden administration’s vaccination campaign for reducing COVID-19 deaths. He said the focus continued to be on tracking and reducing hospitalizations and deaths.
Vice President Kamala Harris tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday and was working from home. Her husband, Doug Emhoff, and her communications director tested positive earlier this month.
