A news conference is underway after concert organizers with ‘Kids Lets Party Fest,’ claim that the concert, which was supposed to take place Saturday, was cancelled by the Levy Park Conservancy due to ‘discriminatory action.”
Oscar-winning singer Adassa, better known from the movie “Encanto” and Nickelodeon’s That Girl Lay Lay are scheduled to speak at the news conference.
A spokesperson for the Levy Park Conservancy released the following statement to KPRC 2:
Use of Levy Park for an event is subject to a number of considerations. Unfortunately, given the tight turnaround time for this festival, the event producer was unable to comply with the requirements for use of the park for an event of this scale. We are disappointed that the event will not happen as anticipated.
