Chances are that if you ask someone of working class origin how to be financially successful in life they’ll very likely tell you to attend college to find a high paying job, save up and maybe to invest in a few stocks or real estate when and if possible.

Now, if you ask someone of the owning class the same question they’ll probably tell you something that is vague and related to your inner psychology.

Notice how the first response is rooted in blissful ignorance and the second is likely rooted in a competitive position.

One side probably doesn’t know the answer because he doesn’t even know how the system functions. Meanwhile the latter’s worried about their position and potential competition amongst other capitalists.

It’s about practicality and risk. Plenty of people have gone broke trying to get rich. Most people rather have security and routine.
