Miami Beach police are investigating a possible domestic-related incident that resulted in a man being struck in the head with a gun, authorities confirmed.
The incident was reported just after 5 p.m. Thursday.
Police said they were initially called about a possible shooting along the 1200 block of West Avenue, and officers detained a possible suspect within moments of arriving.
Police confirmed that they didn’t find any victims suffering from gunshot wounds, however they found a man with a cut on his head who had been struck with a gun.
No formal charges have yet been made and the incident remains under investigation.
