Man armed in vehicle in southeast Houston; SWAT standoff underway, police say

A SWAT standoff is underway in southeast Houston Monday.

Houston police are in the 7400 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard at Van Fleet, saying a man is armed in a vehicle.

Martin Luther King Boulevard is closed in both directions and people are advised to avoid the area.
