Parents have undoubtedly been looking forward to in-person classes ever since the pandemic shut everything down.

But for some, the fear of what happens at school may have them pulling kids back to the house.

We’re talking about violence in schools between students, cases of bullying and even threats.

“That day, my son came home from school, he had visible injury markings around his head and face and neck,” said Gloria Ferman, the mother of a middle school-aged son.

On Wednesday, KPRC 2 Investigates breaks down the data on how often fighting and assaults happen in schools, plus what parents and school districts can do to prevent them.
