Houston Astros left fielder
Yordan Alvarez left Friday night’s game and was taken to the hospital after complaining of an illness.
According to MLB.com, Alvarez began feeling ill and was evaluated during the team’s game against the Braves.
After a brief evaluation, Alvarez was transported to an area hospital where his condition remains unknown.
“A significant injury could make a postseason run more difficult,” MLB reports. “But standing
11 games ahead of the second-place Mariners in the American League West buys Alvarez and the Astros time to recuperate or compile a backup plan.”
Yordan Alvarez left the game due to feeling ill on the field. He was evaluated in the training room and then transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
