Authorities with the Houston Police Department were responding to a reported shooting at The Galleria Saturday afternoon.
According to officials, a person was shot in the leg near the Shake Shack restaurant inside the mall around 6:50 p.m.
It is unclear how the shooting began.
Police have not released a description of the alleged shooter.
